About
About 99 Dinner
99 Dinner helps busy people decide what to cook for dinner, fast.
What 99 Dinner is for
99 Dinner is an independent recipe site.
The goal is simple: help you choose a weeknight dinner in a few taps, without scrolling through long recipe pages first.
How the dinner picker works
Tell the dinner picker how much time you have, which diet you follow, and which main ingredient you want. It suggests three ideas that match. You can save favourites and build a five-night plan. Both are kept in your browser, so there is no account to create.
You can find your saved dinners on the My dinners page.
Where the recipes come from
The recipes on 99 Dinner are original. They were written for this site for home cooks, and there are about 1,000 of them. We do not republish recipes from other publications.
How recipes are checked
Before a recipe is published, it must pass a set of automated consistency checks:
- Every ingredient listed must be used in the method.
- Diet tags (vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free) must not contradict the ingredients.
- Allergen notes must name the allergens that are present.
These checks catch many mistakes, but they cannot catch everything.
Always read the recipe through before you cook, and check the labels on packaged foods, especially for allergens.
Photos
Recipe photos are original images made for 99 Dinner. We do not use third-party photos of other people's dishes.
Cooking safely
Quantities are guides. Adjust them to your taste, pan and portion size. Cook meat, poultry, fish and eggs to safe internal temperatures, and use a food thermometer when in doubt.
Corrections
If you spot a mistake, such as a wrong quantity, a missing step, an incorrect diet tag or an allergen note that is missing, please tell us. Send the details through the contact page, and we will look into it.
